The 200 Club of Morris County proudly supports Morris County Police Officers, Fire Fighters, First Aid Squad Members, and Members of the New Jersey State Police serving Morris County who die in the line of duty. When tragedy occurs, grief is shared amongst the family as well as the members of The 200 Club of Morris County. Our support of the family is reflected in the following manner:
When a public safety official loses their life in the line of duty, the Action Committee of The 200 Club of Morris County reaches out to the widow(er) to offer emotional support and financial assistance in the form of a death benefit to help manage the financial burden during this difficult time. The current benefit is $30,000.
The 200 Club of Morris County also awards an annual benefit to each eligible child of the public safety official in an effort to help ease the financial concerns created by the loss of their loved one. At present, the annual benefit is $10,000 per child per year until age 18. Should the child continue onto college, the benefit is increased to $15,000 per year until age 23 or graduation, whichever comes first.
The 200 Club is supported by membership dues and private donations. Members receive a 200 Club identification card to demonstrate their support for the 200 Club and its mission. The 200 Club is proud of its relationship with the public safety community and welcomes the public to participate in our organization.
